These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of this website and any lessons, group sessions, intensive courses, and related services (“Services”) purchased from Metronome Languages (“we”, “us”, “our”, “Elena”). By booking or using Services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Services
2.1 Services are delivered online (video call) using Zoom/Google Meet/Microsoft Teams/other.
2.2 The lesson format and materials are tailored to your level and objectives and may include speaking practice, vocabulary/grammar work, listening/reading tasks, and corrections with explanations.
3. Booking and accounts
3.1 Bookings are made via our booking system and/or confirmed in writing (email).
3.2 A booking is confirmed once the time is agreed and payment is received (unless we agree otherwise in writing).
3.3 You are responsible for booking the correct service type/duration.
4. Prices and payment
4.1 Prices are shown on the website/booking page in GBP (£) unless stated otherwise.
4.2 Payment can be made by direct bank transfer and must be made before or on the same day as the lesson. No direct debit is required.
4.3 If payment is not received by the due time, we may cancel/reschedule the booking and offer the slot to another client.
5. Cancellations, rescheduling, lateness, and no-shows
Your cancellation/rescheduling rights and any applicable charges are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
6. Client responsibilities and conduct
6.1 You agree to behave respectfully and not engage in abusive, discriminatory, harassing, or threatening behaviour.
6.2 We may refuse or end Services immediately (and/or end a session) where behaviour is seriously inappropriate or unsafe.
7. Technical requirements
7.1 You are responsible for your internet connection, device, and access to the agreed video platform.
7.2 If a session is materially disrupted due to your technical issues, it may still be treated as delivered in line with the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. Intellectual property (materials)
8.1 Any teaching materials we provide (worksheets, slides, notes) are for your personal use only.
8.2 You may not copy, distribute, publish, sell, or share our materials without written permission.
9. Recording
9.1 You must not record sessions without our prior written consent.
9.2 If we offer recordings, we will explain what is recorded, how it is shared, and how long it is retained.
10. Consumer rights and service standard
We will provide Services with reasonable care and skill.
Outcomes vary by individual; we do not guarantee particular results except where an express guarantee applies (see Refund & Cancellation Policy for Intensive Courses).
11. Liability
11.1 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death/personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
11.2 Subject to 11.1, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
11.3 Our total liability in relation to any booking is limited to the amount you paid for the affected session/course, except where the law requires otherwise.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of purchase applies to that purchase.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
